About us
I started my 3D printing journey back in 2014 with a Printrbot Metal Plus at the Dayton Metro Library. There was a steep learning curve as at the time I only had limited experience repairing electronics. However, I was able to learn how the machines worked and fixed them whenever there was an issue, and in addition teach others how to run and maintain the machines, while also teaching others the basic of CAD design!
I did some contract work after that and helped maintain the printers at Dayton Metro Library while simultaneously helping others around the Dayton area maintain and upgrade their machines while also helping get the Greene County makerspace started. That was a lot of fun and a huge learning experience. Then I bought my first 3D printer, a Printrbot Simple that was sold as broken which I quickly fixed. I then added an ANET A8 which I heavily modified followed by a Creality CR-10 S5 so I could 3D print bigger and bigger things. I was also lucky enough to attend the Midwest RepRap Festival (MRRF) and the East Coast RepRap Festival (ERRF) to meet a lot of the pioneers in the 3D printing world and learn even more about 3D printing.
All along the way I've been designing parts to upgrade the printers I've worked on through Onshape and Fusion 360. I make parts to fix various issues around the house and workplace as a broken lock mechanism for a door, an oddly shaped vent for a bathroom, a replacement for a window lock cover, and a part for an AC unit so I can hang my curtains without it interfering with the cold air blower. Or, I find the time to make things I just enjoy such as lamps, shower curtain rings, or a way to mount my Wyze Camera so I can peek outside while staying safely inside.
I also love learning new things and collaborating to make something using multiple mediums, like building a backpack from Astroneer using 3D printing, vinyl printing and some cardboard. Or making a stamp for your leatherworking. I'd love to get more into printing for Halloween or cosplay, so if you're interested in having parts created for you for any occasion, please let me know!
I'm excited to work with you!
